Nowadays, you can look for very good TVs for under $1,500. TV prices are steadily increasing, and new technological features are finding their way to more popular TV models, making them available to a wider audience. You can easily find some high-end TVs with great picture quality and lots of features for under $1,500 if you're willing to cut the size a bit as you might be limited to the 55 or 75 inches TV.

Here are our top picks of the Best TV Under $1500 of 2022.

Top Picks

  1. LG OLED55C1PUB

This TV is a premium model with plenty of features. It's a great all-around TV with stunning picture quality, great motion handling, and an intelligent interface. Easy to use with a wide selection of streaming apps. It's also future-proof, with four HDMI 2.1 ports and eARC support, so you can send high-quality audio signals to supported soundbars or home theater systems and simplify your setup.

  1. Hisense 65U8G

The best 65-inch TV under $1,500 with an LED panel is the Hisense 65U8G. It's an impressive all-around TV, and both its 55- and 65-inch models are available in this price range. But the 65-inch model has more dimming zones, so its local dimming could be slightly better. LED TVs are immune to burn-in, so you don't have to worry about leaving the same news channel all day.

  1. SAMSUNG QN65Q80AAFXZA

If you like something with a wide seating arrangement, then check out the Samsung QN65Q80AAFXZA. Unlike the VA panel on the Hisense U8G, it uses an IPS panel, which means it has much better viewing angles. Sadly, this comes at the expense of black contrast and uniformity, so it doesn't do well in dark rooms. It's incredibly bright and handles reflections well, making it a great choice for watching TV shows or sports with lots of people in well-lit rooms.

It's great for gaming as it also has VRR support and HDMI 2.1 input, and it doesn't have any issues with PS5 or Xbox Series X. It features full-array local dimming, but sadly it doesn't do that well overall, and while it does a good job at improving contrast, there's still too much flare around bright objects. It comes in many sizes, but the 50-inch and 85-inch models are different because they use VA panels.

  1. Hisense 75U6G

The best 75-inch TV under $1,500 we tested is the Hisense 75U6G. This is a low-end model in Hisense's ULED lineup, so it doesn't have many features, but it still delivers excellent overall performance. It's versatile for most uses and comes with Android TV built-in, has a great platform and a wide selection of apps, but can take a while to learn.

  1. TCL 75S535

If you're a fan of the easy-to-use Roku TV, then check out the TCL 75S535. It's not as bright as the Hisense U6G, but it does have a few extra features like motion interpolation and the ability to remove 24p shake from any source. This helps show motion in lower frame rate content like movies or some games. It also features a VA panel with an excellent contrast ratio and matching local dimming to further improve contrast.

The device has excellent accuracy and displays a wide color gamut, but it's not bright enough to make highlights stand out in HDR. On the plus side, it doesn't have any issues upscaling to lower resolutions, which is great for watching TV or DVD shows.

Buying Guide

Size: While you may be tempted to think that a bigger TV is a better TV, the size of the TV that's right for you depends closely on how close you will be to the screen you'll be sitting on and the resolution of the source material you're viewing.

4K TV or Full HD TV: Most TVs these days are 4K. It's actually quite hard to find Full HD (1080p) models, even at the relatively small size.

Inputs and outputs: Today, it's all about HDMI, which is used to connect everything from set-top boxes to video players, Blu-ray players to game consoles. Thanks to ARC/eARC (Advanced Audio Return Channel/Audio Return Channel), a single HDMI connection can even be used to output audio to an AV receiver or soundbar at the same time when a video signal is received.
