The best LG TVs prove that LG is the top TV brand for good reason, with the company dominating both the production and sales of OLED TVs. But these top models go even further with some of the best picture quality, sound, and smart features of any 4K TV you can buy.
From the excellent webOS smart TV platform to the excellence of OLED panels, LG offers some of the Best TVs you can buy. Below is our list of the Best LG 4K TVs of 2023.
Top picks
The LG OLED TV is a great overall TV that delivers stunning picture quality, especially in dark rooms. Like all other OLED TVs, the C1 has a near limitless contrast ratio without the need for local dimming, resulting in deep, uniform blacks and no bloat around bright objects.
This incredible contrast ratio is especially great for viewing HDR content, as it allows the TV to deliver highlights right next to darker shades, resulting in a dramatic, realistic picture. The C1 also has an excellent HDR color gamut, proving it can display a true-to-life color gamut with the latest HDR content.
The best LG TV we tested in the budget category is the LG UP8000. It's a fairly simple TV with decent overall performance. It's available in a variety of sizes, from 43 to 86 inches, but the 50, 60, and 70-inch models don't have the same IPS panels as the 65-inch model we tested, so they behave differently from other sizes. It has a wide viewing angle, so the image remains accurate when viewed from all sides.
This TV comes with LG's webOS features like the higher-end models, including the Magic Remote. Despite its low cost, it has eARC support allowing you to transmit high-quality audio to a compatible receiver using a single HDMI connection.
The LG G1 OLED TV is an updated version of LG's excellent Gallery OLED, boasting a premium 20mm thick design and a sleek wall-mounted setup. It's still the best 4K OLED TV LG makes, but as the first to feature LG's second-generation Evo OLED technology, it lacks some of the claimed performance improvements that we're excited about.

It's not just size and picture quality that make the best flat-screen TVs. Other factors like screen type, resolution, and smart features are all important to consider. To help you narrow down your choices, our experts have put together a list of important qualities to look for.
Size
The size of the screen is very important when considering which TV to choose. A good metric is to think about how many people will be watching TV at the same time and how big of a space you have. Once you have an idea, choose the largest screen size that will fit the space comfortably.
Another determining factor in screen size is how close you are to the TV screen. Our experts recommend 55 to 65-inch TVs as the standard size for most living rooms - 65-inch TVs are large enough for you to seat extra.
Type of Display: OLED, LED LCD, etc
Most displays are either LED or LCD. They can be ultra HD or HD quality, and they usually only use light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to power the display. LCD monitors are notoriously thin and can fit in tight spaces and against walls. LCD screens can be powered by LEDs around the edges, or have an entire array right behind the screen. Both will offer different possibilities for lighting and dimming content.
Another type of LCD display is a quantum dot, a more advanced form of illumination required by HDR content. LED and LCD screens come with a multitude of benefits covering a wide range of prices, features, and sizes, giving you the widest selection available.
OLED TVs are even more advanced than LED/LCD screens with different lighting zones. This gives the TV the ability to produce images that other types of displays don't have.
TV Resolution
Resolution contributes to picture quality on any TV. The higher the number of resolutions on your TV, the better the quality. HD 720p is no longer so impressive when the number can reach 8K today.
Full HD or 1080p is now the standard and is the most common resolution in TVs of any brand. Ultra HD or 4K has 4 times the resolution of Full HD, so you can imagine the sharper focus and brighter images. Now, 8K quality resolution in TVs has been gradually integrated into the market. They offer 4x the quality of 4K, but content production has yet to catch up with this huge leap forward in picture resolution.
